Growing Walmart Canada's subscription business
Problem
Walmart Canada's subscription program was losing members faster than the business could grow them, which capped recurring revenue and made the program hard to justify investing further in.
Approach
Owned the subscription experience end-to-end, from onboarding through cancellation. Ran structured experiments to isolate where members were dropping off, then redesigned the highest-friction moments and validated each change with data before rolling it out broadly.
My role
Lead product designer — research, experiment design, UI, and go-to-market coordination with data science and engineering.

Making fulfillment work across three markets
Problem
Walmart's fulfillment experience needed to work across the US, Canada, and Mexico, each with different logistics, regulatory, and operational realities, without splintering into three disconnected products that were expensive to maintain and inconsistent for customers.
Approach
Designed a shared fulfillment framework flexible enough to absorb market-specific rules and edge cases while keeping one coherent design language and interaction model across all three markets. Worked directly with regional stakeholders to surface constraints early rather than retrofitting them later.
My role
Lead product designer, cross-market — systems design and stakeholder alignment across three regional teams.

Building at platform scale with Walmart's design system
Problem
As Walmart's commerce platform grew, individual teams were rebuilding the same UI patterns independently, which created visible inconsistency for customers and slowed every team down with duplicated work.
Approach
Partnered closely with engineering to define and ship shared components and design tokens, embedding in engineering workflows from the start rather than handing off static specs after design was "done." Prioritized the components with the widest reuse potential first.
My role
Design systems lead — component and token architecture, engineering collaboration, adoption across tenant teams.

More work
Smaller projects not written up as full case studies, shown here for breadth:
Promo Codes — redesigned how customers discover and apply promotional codes at checkout.
Dynamic Slots — flexible merchandising slots that adapt placement based on context.
Order Amends — self-service flow for customers to modify an order after placing it, reducing support load.
How I work
Systems. Designs patterns meant to scale across markets and tenants, not one-off screens.
Data. Backs decisions with evidence — experiment results, usage data — rather than opinion alone.
Craft. Pays attention to the details that compound: spacing, motion, copy, edge cases.
Collaboration. Embeds with engineering early and often, rather than handing off finished specs.
Prototyping. Uses AI-assisted ("vibe coding") prototyping to turn ideas into something real, fast, before committing design or engineering time.
About
Six years at Walmart leading end-to-end UX for subscriptions, fulfillment, and the platform design system — designing for Canada and Mexico while building patterns that scale across markets and tenants.
Started in industrial design, moved through visual communication design, and ended up where the hardest problems live: how people make decisions under uncertainty. Working in commerce at scale reinforced that design at scale is fundamentally about trust — in the product, the brand, and the system behind both.
Path: BFA Industrial Design (Huazhong University of Science and Technology) → MFA Visual Communication Design (Rochester Institute of Technology) → Senior Product Designer, Walmart (6 years — subscriptions → fulfillment → platform design system).
